Abstract:

У роботі здійснено спробу комплексного аналізу темпоральності музичної культуриі з застосуванням знань зі сфер музикознавства, звукозапису, акустики, теорії сприйняття, філософії техніки, медіа-теорії тощо; запропоновано оригінальний методологічний підхід аналізу темпоральності фонокультури на основі ієрархічної моделі часу Дж. Фрейзера; введено до обігу поняття «цифровий звуковий ландшафт» та розбудовано його зміст. Доведено, що цифровий ландшафт має власні темпоральні маркери (порівняно із ландшафтом минулих епох). Також запропоновано оригінальну концепцію «аугментативної естетики» (естетики «перебільшення»), яка пояснює глибоко симулятивну природу звукозапису як сфери творчої діяльності; постульовано та доведено, що «мікрозвук» є не лише естетичним напрямом та стилем музики, а радше «культурною ситуацією», в якій опинилась фонографія з часів виникнення приватного звукового простору (індивідуалізованого «фонотопу»). Дістала подальшого розвитку теорія звукового ландшафту (Р. Шейфер, М. Шіон). Сформульовано ключові відмінності цифрового та аналогового звукових ландшафтів. Доповнені концепція «мікрозвуку» (К. Роадс) як естетичного тренду цифрової музики та концепція «фонотопу» (П. Слотердайк). Розбудовано зміст понять:«цифрова культура», «цифрова музична культура», «цифрова музика», «кліпова свідомість». Сформульовано концепцію «контркультурних» темпоральних практик, спрямованих на свідоме «сповільнення» часу.

New forms of perception and «production» of time are hidden behind the procedures and forms we are accustomed to at every step (background listening to music in transport, phone ringtones TV clips). The advent of digital culture in the early 2000s in a new form raised the ever-relevant questions about the nature of time its perception and ability to manage it. The study of the temporality of the musical culture of the digital age requires a truly interdisciplinary approach, because the comprehension of the whole is impossible without deep excursions into the theory of recording, psychoacoustics, philosophy of technology, psychology of perception and so on. It is postulated that digital culture is a state of culture associated with the functioning of the so-called «new media» (L. Manovich). Mankind has entered the era of digital culture since the early 2000s. It was found that the term «digital culture» means not only and not so much the culture associated with the functioning of sign systems, but the culture of new media (social networks, hosting, blogs, etc.), based on computer network technologies. Time acquires a second dimension - «depth», thinking becomes more and more «clip», as opposed to narrative thinking of the analog era. A person tries to contain the largest amount of information in the shortest period of time. The world is increasingly filled with so-called «viral forms» that compete for human attention: jingles, ringtones, teasers and trailers. Digital music is a historical concept that captures the existence of music within the global digital information space. Digital music potentially includes all music that can be digitized; at the moment it is almost all the music known to mankind. Digital infospace theoretically makes the memory of culture almost infinite, but in reality the memory of human culture is in any case physiologically limited: not the volume of all human memory, but the amount of RAM of society and the amount of information «in the accessibility zone» The temporality of phonoculture is largely related to the affordance of digital media so this issue is also addressed. It has been hypothesized that as a product of the separation of the audio and visual spheres (the so-called «schizophony» situation), phonography does not tend to adequately embody reality, but to hyperrealism. On the one hand in the history of sound recording the vector «hi-fi» is clearly traced (as a position of «high fidelity» compared to the original), on the other - simulativeness, which is reflected in the so-called «augmentative» aesthetics (aesthetics of exaggeration). It is shown that microsound takes place not only as an aesthetic concept and style of electronic music, but rather as a cultural situation (or cultural trend) that covers many areas of knowledge and practice - from military technology and medicine to music itself. Microsound is a natural stage of «emancipation» of sound both from the physical source and from the semantic load of past centuries. Considered in its single form (without the context of a piece of music), sound provides opportunities for new semantics and new phenomenological discoveries. The formation of microsound as a set of theories, views and practices can be represented through three vectors of disintegration.
