dc.description General analysis of music-educational activity of the Czech musician Zdenek Rudolfovych Kominek (1882-1950) in Podillia has been carried out in the dissertation, namely, in the cultural life of Kamianets-Podilskyi region of the first half of the XXth century; on the basis of the documents involved, the process of the origin and formation of the art studies searches of the artist has been determined, the peculiarities of performing, pedagogical and public-educational activity of Kominek, his contribution to the development of music culture and education of Podillia region have been shown. The state of development of the issue has been analyzed and the level of its scientific comprehension has been determined, the source base has been assessed (the factual material of the research consists of the materials of the State Archive of Khmelnytskyi region, Kamianets-Podilskyi State City archive, Department of the Rare Book of Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University, Kamianets-Podilskyi State Historical Museum-Reserve, private collections, and numerous periodicals of that time.). All these sources are quite representative and allow to objectively examine the artist’s creative achievements. The analysis of the sources base allowed us to conclude that there is a lack of profound and systematic researches on the creative work of Zdenek Kominek, and also of popular articles and references about him in the light of his culturological activity. The author of the dissertation thinks that the existing works reproduce predominantly the all-Ukrainian context of the emergence and existence of music centers in Podillia region, but they ignore regional artists, whose creativity can fill the gaps and significantly enrich the knowledge of some milestones in the history of Ukrainian musicology. The author notes that the creative work of Kominek was neither studied comprehensively nor even fragmentary. The principles and methods of historical search commonly accepted in modern musical historiography make the theoretical-methodological basis of the dissertation. In the course of analysis of the methodological base it was stated that the introduction of culturological, analytical and systematic approaches is very important for such studies, they made it possible to carry out parallel analysis of the creativity of other artists of Kamianets-Podilskyi region. It is proved that cultural-musical activity developed in the framework of general transformations and was firmly combined with the main components of social life that existed on the territory of Podillia region in the XXth century. The research traced how professional concert creativity of artists was closely intertwined with pedagogical work, which made it possible to state the fact of their unquestionable participation in the formation and development of professional music education in Podillia region. The aspirant mentions that at the beginning of the XXth century Kamianets-Podilskyi acquires the status of the general-historical centre of Ukraine thanks to the selfless work of such prominent figures as I. Ohiienko, M. Hrinchenko, K. Stetsenko and others. The process of national self-identification is being activated in various spheres: educational (Ukrainian State University, People’s Conservatory, musical technical school were founded), artistic (the activity of Kamianets-Podilskyi Ukrainian National Choir, theatrical troupe led by Sadovskyi was at high level at the beginning of the XXth century), music (the works of Ukrainian composers were popularized). In the dissertation the exact biographical facts of Z. Kominek’s life and the stages of creative formation of the musician have been clarified, the main directions of his public educational activity have been highlighted. It is determined that in the first half of the XXth century powerful educational centre was established in Kamianets-Podilskyi, which included music organizations of various directions, including the Musical Society named after M. Leontovych. Its members were prominent representatives of music art with professional European education. The part of the research deals with the characterization of the educational process in the educational institutions of Kamianets-Podilskyi of the first half of the XXth century, where Z. Kominek worked at different years. His important role in updating the teaching and methodical work (as the first director, and later as a teacher of musical college he worked in the cycle commissions) was found out. By the specific examples, it is proved that Z. Kominek’s creative work is reliable information about the music life of the region, concerts, performances of the collectives, and his works, arrangements and orchestrations are important musicological sources. The scientific novelty of the research is in the fact that in it for the first time the creative achievements and many years of performing, educational and pedagogical activity of Zdenek Kominek has been studied, which was left out of the attention of the domestic scientists and art historians. In the dissertation for the first time the materials were introduced into the scientific circulation highlighting: • biographical facts from the life of the musician; • stages of the creative formation of Z. Kominek; • range of finding source materials about various activities of the artist; • main milestones of the performing, educational and pedagogical life of Z. Kominek; • periodization of the musician’s biography. The practical significance of the results obtained is that the main statements of the dissertation, the actual material, the conclusions can be used in writing of general works devoted to both Zdenek Kominek and various fields of Podillia region and Ukrainian music art. The materials of the dissertation can be used in the process of teaching the history of domestic culture, in its special sections related to musicology, the history of Ukrainian music, at lectures-concerts for cadets and students of military academies, in the preparation of special cultural and art studies courses for higher educational institutions, as well as by Podillia region tour guides in their practical activity. The conducted scientific-theoretical and practical research opened the prospects of popularizing the musical work of Z. Kominek, the personality of the maestro himself, the measures he carried out in various spheres of cultural life. The phenomenon of Kominek-popularizer, Kominek-musician, Kominek-pedagogue, Kominek -bandmaster is a vivid page of Podillia region cultural centre and, at the same time, an integral part of European music art. The annexes reveal various aspects of Z. Kominek’s life: information about his education, family composition, performing activities (posters of different years), pedagogical work, etc. uk_UA
dc.description.abstract Дисертацію присвячено комплексному розгляду життєвого шляху, музично-просвітницької діяльності видатного подільського музиканта-педагога Зденека Рудольфовича Комінека, а також його внеску в розвиток культури Кам’янеччини першої половини ХХ ст. Проаналізовано вплив культурного життя регіону та мистецького оточення маестро на формування його особистісних особливостей. На основі автобіографічних даних, а також матеріалів преси й архівів висвітлено етапи життєвого шляху митця, його педагогічну, виконавську та громадську діяльність. Осмислено діяльнісний компендіум музиканта, що був істотним для подільської регіональної культури того часу та набув подальшого розвитку в скрипковій школі його учнів.
