Abstract:
Дисертація є першою спробою здійснити комплексний культурологічний аналіз драматургії циркової вистави в контексті карнавально-сміхової культури. У роботі досліджуються історичні засади та сучасні особливості циркових вистав України та СНД, які демонструються з урахуванням традицій національної та світової карнавально-сміхової культури. Дослідження проведено на матеріалі драматургії циркової вистави на підставі того, що ця драматургічна форма репрезентує загальний стан циркового мистецтва та є недостатньо вивченою.
Значна увага приділяється дослідженню драматургічної структури сучасного циркового видовища. Зокрема розглядаються питання щодо приналежності циркового сценарію до драматичного роду літератури.
Завдяки результатам дослідження до наукового обігу також введено нові різновиди сучасної циркової вистави, нову циркознавчо-драматургічну термінологію; визначено місце драматургії циркової вистави в сучасному українському видовищному мистецтві.

This dissertation is a first attempt to make a complex cultural analysis of circus shows in the context of the carnival-comical culture. In our research we investigate historical basics and today’s peculiar features of dramaturgic construction of modern circus shows in Ukraine and countries of CIS which have absorbed traditions of national and world carnival-comical culture. The investigation was conducted on the material of dramatic compositions of circus shows as this dramatic form is representative of general conditions of circus art and is the least studied.
For the first time in the history of circus studies we brought into circulation archival and video materials, descriptions of some modern circus shows that helped us to make a detailed analysis of the represented circus dramaturgy.
As a result of our research we singled out new kinds of circus shows, introduced new circus dramatic terminology and determined the place of dramatic composition of circus art in modern Ukrainian entertainment art.
