dc.description	The Ukrainian exlibris as a distinctive art having been traced through the centuries and reflecting whole history of the culture, spiritual life of Ukraine is considered in the Thesis. Typology and art expressiveness of bookplate are analyzed, the centers of the cultural life in Ukraine are investigated. The contribution of exlibris artists-creators is analyzed, the style features are shown. For the first time, a complete and comprehensive study of protoexlibris and a superexlibris was conducted in the Ukraine. According to historical documents, this native exlibris heritage has evolved through almost five centuries to its current state. Starting in the late 19th century early 20th century, interest in the study of exlibris has greatly increased to the point of national recognition, attaining the interest at the highest levels. Scientists and collectors of these writings have shown interest in continuing the study of its history and genesis. Exlibris and protoexlibris items are now being displayed in libraries and museums in the Ukraine. The author of this dissertation conducted a comprehensive investigative study of exlibris, to included The National Museum, libraries, and private collections. For the first time the condition of this genre of art has been examined on a Ukrainian scale. It is the opinion of the author that previous studies of exlibris have been thorough and estimated evenly. However, due to this study, the temporary periodization of all exlibris developmental stages has been concluded for the first time. For that, combining the experience of Russian, Lithuanian and Polish colleagues theoretical and practical principles of forming and formation of national exlibris have been analyzed, and criteria of belonging to Ukrainian culture has been determined.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	У дисертації досліджуються проблеми розвитку українського екслібриса XVII - першої третини XX ст. як самобутнього й цілісного мистецького явища національного мистецтва. Вперше всебічно проаналізовано типологію і художні особливості книжкового знаку, визначено осередки культурного життя на теренах України. Досліджено внесок широкого кола художників-авторів екслібрисів, їх колекціонерів і пропагандистів. Вперше проведено комплексне вивчення даного художнього явища, введено в науковий обіг України такі різновиди книжкового знаку як протоекслібриси і суперекслібриси. Завдяки цьому вітчизняний екслібрисний спадок охоплює майже п‘ять століть і розвивається в контексті історії книги. З кінця XIX - початку XX століть спостерігається підвищений інтерес до екслібриса, він набуває яскраво виражених національних ознак.	uk_UA
