dc.description	The thesis is dedicated to the study of modernization vectors of public libraries under conditions of information society. The level of scientific investigation of the issue of researching library innovations as a foundation for the public libraries modernization process was investigated; theoretical and methodological foundation for the thesis was formulated; dynamics of technical and technological transformations of Ukrainian public libraries were studied; organizational changes in activity of Ukrainian public libraries were analyzed; directions of deployment of infocommunicational services in Ukrainian public libraries were defined; ways of socioeconomical modernization of Ukrainian public libraries’ activity management were justified; vectors of reforming the Ukrainian public libraries system in terms of decentralization were defined; effective tools and principles for creating comfortable infocommunicative environment in Ukrainian public libraries were discovered. Further developments were made in: methodology of using effective tools for creating comfortable infocommunicational library environment, like functional zoning of space, coloring and lighting to correct visual features of space, tactile indicators for people with visual impairments, usage of informational technologies (interactive boards, screens etc.) as compositional elements of space; proposing Ukrainian public library network reformation vectors under conditions of decentralization, namely: selecting certain specialization for a library to satisfy the needs of a specific group, reforming UTC libraries into multifunctional institutions that will satisfy various needs of a community, including ones that are not completely related to librarian-ship.Materials, conclusions and recommendations of this thesis form a theo-retical foundation for effective modernization of Ukrainian public libraries that will be directed to overcome digital and technological inequality, as well as improve informational literacy and culture of the population. Organization structure reformation directions that were proposed by the author can systematically and constantly support innovational activity within the collective and create the organizational transformations general management system.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	Дисертацію присвячено дослідженню векторів модернізації публічних бібліотек в умовах інформаційного суспільства. Вивчено рівень наукової розробленості проблеми дослідження модернізації публічних бібліотек; сформульовано теоретичну і методологічну базу; висвітлено динаміку техніко технологічних трансформацій публічних бібліотек України; проаналізовано організаційні зміни в діяльності публічних бібліотек України; визначено напрями розгортання інформаційно-комунікаційного сервісу публічних бібліотек України; обґрунтовано шляхи соціально-економічної модернізації управління діяльністю публічних бібліотек України; визначено вектори реформування системи публічних бібліотек України в умовах децентралізації; виявлено ефективні інструменти та принципи створення комфортного інформаційно-комунікаційного середовища публічних бібліотек України.	uk_UA
