dc.description	The paper considers the study of percussion instruments in China. The main foundation of traditional Chinese percussion instruments was formed on autochthonous traditions, the origins of which date back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, as well as on the regional traditions of indigenous ethnic minorities and close interaction with other cultures in the Middle, Central, Southeast Asia and the Far East. A brief overview of the history, culture and music of ancient China from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages (the 4 th millennium BC – 14th century AD), as well as various studies and sources considering individual types and groups of percussion instruments as part of Chinese imperial dynasties’ range of instruments within a period from the first millennium BC to the 14th century. Purely Chinese percussion instruments analysed of the Neolithic-Bronze Age, being studied in terms of origin and based on material used (clay, wood, stone, bronze). The idiophones and membranophones studied of the national minorities from Southern and Western China from the middle of the 1st millennium BC to the 14th century. It was performed the comparative analysis of them with the Asian instruments of the same type. The infiltration considered of the percussion instruments from the Middle and Central Asia into traditional Chinese range of instruments. It was studied the influence of Chinese percussion instruments on the formation of the same type instruments in Korea and Japan.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	Дослідження присвячено вивченню ударних інструментів Китаю доби неоліту – Середньовіччя (IV тис. до н.е. – XIV ст.). Проведено системне інструментознавче дослідження ідіофонів і мембранофонів Китаю у трьох аспектах – морфологічному, семантичному та структурно-функційному. Вперше проаналізовано основний фонд традиційних китайських ударних інструментів, що сформувався на основі автохтонних традицій від доби неоліту–бронзи до середньовіччя, а також реґіональних традицій національних меншин країни та тісних контактів з іншими культурами Середньої, Центральної, Південно-Східної Азії та Далекого Сходу.	uk_UA
