dc.description	The purpose of the article is to study the process of forming ideas about the Ukrainian national style in the sociocultural space of Ukraine at the beginning of the 20th century by an analysis of the scientific positions of leading scientists and artists-practitioners of the era. The methodology of the research consists in using a complex historicalcultural approach, methods of comparative analysis, comparison and generalization. The mentioned issue made it possible to identify the specifics of the formation of the concept of the Ukrainian national style in the context of the European tendencies of national romanticism of those years. The scientific novelty consists in an attempt to reveal ways of understanding the place and role of ethnic-design as a component of the Ukrainian national style in the scientific and creative community of Ukraine of the specified period. The views of representatives of the Ukrainian science of art about the historically formed differences of the national ethnic-design and directions of its modern development as a component of the Ukrainian style are described. The contribution of N. Bilyashivsky, K. Shirocki, V. Shcherbakivsky was revealed. V. Krichevsky in the process of resolving the problem. Conclusions. The discussion of the essence and parameters of the Ukrainian national style of fine arts in the Ukrainian society of the beginning of the 20th century was based on the ancient heritage and modern achievements of ethnodizaina. The theoretical development of the concept of the Ukrainian style played an essential role in the development of national self-awareness of the era.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	Метою статті є дослідження процесу формування уявлень про український національний стиль образотворчості в соціокультурному просторі України початку ХХ століття на основі аналізу наукових позицій провідних учених і митців-практиків доби. Методологія дослідження полягає у застосуванні комплексного історико-культурного підходу, методів порівняльного аналізу, зіставлення і узагальнення. Це дало змогу виявити специфіку формування концепції українського національного стилю в контексті європейських тенденцій національного романтизму тих літ. Наукова новизна полягає у спробі виявити шляхи осмислення місця і ролі етнодизайну як складової українського національного стилю в науково-творчому співтоваристві України означеного періоду. Охарактеризовано погляди представників української науки про мистецтво щодо історично сформованих відмінних ознак національного етнодизайну та напрямку його сучасного розвитку як складової українського стилю. Виявлено внесок М.Біляшівського, К.Широцького, В.Щербаківського, В.Кричевського та інших у процес розв’язання проблеми. Висновки. Обговорення сутності і параметрів національного стилю образотворчості в українському суспільстві початку ХХ століття відбувалося з опорою на давню спадщину і сучасні досягнення етнодизайну. Теоретична розробка концепції українського стилю відіграла важливу роль у розвитку національної самосвідомості доби.	uk_UA
