dc.description | The presented dissertation offers the author's research on the development of the choral competition-festival movement. Contemporary competition-festival movement in choral art demonstrates the accumulation of extensive experience both in the performing arts and in terms of organizational principles. It is emphasized that the current stage of development of choral art led to the appeal to this topic and determined the relevance of the study because so far neither in the history of performance nor in choral studies have raised questions about the competition-festival movement as a relevant direction of choral creativity the ways of its development and features of functioning were investigated. In developing the concept of competition-festival forms and the complex phenomenon of "competition-festival movement" a separate perspective of the study was to form an idea of the special functions of the conductor in the context of participation in the competition-festival movement and in preparing the choir to participate in creative competitions; identify the features of the texts of "mandatory" competition works; explore organizational approaches to participation in creative competitions. The purpose of the work is as follows: to identify the leading competition and festival forms and to explore the nature and specifics of the phenomenon of competition and festival movement in modern choral art. The following tasks are solved in the work: the content of concepts about competition-festival forms and competition-festival movement is revealed; the genesis of the competition-festival movement in choral creativity is covered; the structure and parameters of the research of the choral competition-festival movement as a systemic artistic phenomenon are substantiated; features of formation of traditional models of competitive and festival forms are investigated and their classification is offered; the tendencies of competition-festival online forms are clarified; methodical approaches to the formation of the repertoire policy of choirs participating in creative competitions are considered: the textual peculiarities of the obligatory works of the competition-festival events are clarified; special conceptual functions of the conductor in the context of the competition-festival movement are investigated; characterized by organizational principles in the preparation of the choir to participate in competition and festival events. The dissertation offers a generalizing theoretical model of system construction of competition-festival forms in choral creativity. Namely - considered the provisions, themes, repertoire and organizational conditions of the leading European international choral competitions of the European Grand Prix in choral singing: Concorso Polifónico Guido d'Arezzo (Arezzo, Italy); Béla Bartók International Choir Competition (Debrecen, Hungary); International Choral Competition Maribor (Maribor, Slovenia); Certamen Coral de Tolosa (Tolosa, Spain); Florilège Vocal de Tours (Tour, France); International May Choir Competition «Prof. G. Dimitrov ”(Varna, Bulgaria); - highlighted the activities of international and national choral societies, public organizations, choral associations, cultural communities that are the driving force in the competition and festival movement, which took over the general organizational, managerial, advertising, etc. functions; whose activities are a vivid illustration of the trend towards professional self-organization, namely the European Choral Association "Europa Cantat" (European Choral Association, ECA), the International Federation of Choral Music (IFCM), the National All-Ukrainian Music Union (NVMS), All-Ukrainian Choral Society named after M. Leontovych, NGO "Ukrainian Choral Association", also points to the importance of global online communities and Internet portals, such as CHORALNET, IFSM (International Federation for Choral Music), VAN (Vocal Area Network); highlighted palette of Ukrainian choral competitions and festivals; separate organizational and specific-performance features of the All-Ukrainian competition of choirs named after M. Leontovich; international choral competition named after P. Muravsky; All-Ukrainian festival of spiritual singing "From Christmas to Christmas"; choral festival named after KK Pigrova, the festival of choral music "Golden-Domed Kyiv", etc. All of the above contributed to the formation of a full-fledged idea of the current state of the competition and festival movement, which includes composition, performance, conducting. The scientific novelty of the presented research is that for the first time in Ukrainian musicology and chorology the subject of special research became competitive-festival forms and the phenomenon of competitive-festival movement in the field of choral creativity in its system integrity. The results of the research for the first time in Ukrainian science systematize the competition-festival forms in choral creativity and expand the practical and methodological principles of modern chorology In the work for the first time: the multilevelness of the choral competition-festival movement is investigated, its forms are revealed and its value as leading in the modern concept of choral creativity is proved; the classification of choral competition-festival forms is presented and the analytical approach in research of the phenomena of competition-festival movement is developed; identified traditions in the organization and holding of international and national choral festivals and competitions; modern tendencies in the development of national choral festivals and competitions are studied; proposed approaches in the organization and preparation for the performance of the choir in the creative competition; musical texts that were not previously analyzed in the specified perspective were introduced into scientific circulation; systematized and presented information about the activities of choral associations and communities in the historical context of the development of choral art of the second half of he XX - first decades of the XXI century; their organizational achievements and executive priorities are highlighted. The results of the research allowed to make theoretical, scientific-methodical, practical generalizations and to draw conclusions about the understanding of the phenomenon of competition-festival movement as a special form of creative communication and process of intonation-artistic presentation of personal content of choral work in the form of stage performance on certain competitive principles; to prove that the competition-festival movement is a reflection of broad processes in the field of modern choral creativity; to find out that competitions and festivals are a reflection of cultural and artistic processes of globalization and localization and are manifested at the levels of the status of the event, its purpose, objectives, repertoire, etc .; to find out the generalizing factors of organizational issues, to emphasize the importance of exchange of experience among the founders and to establish certain general norms of holding competitions and festivals; justify the need to develop special conditions for each competition or festival; identify creative communications of competitive and non-competitive nature, etc. The paper emphasizes that in modern choral art it is customary to distinguish between competitive and festival forms for the participation of choirs, choral conductors and, indirectly, composers. The criteria for classification of measures are: a) status; b) forms of organization, frequency and location; c) tasks and principles of conducting; d) artistic requirements (themes, repertoire policy); e) features of evaluation and rewarding of participants. Thus from the point of view of both choral creativity and music management a certain system is formed, orientation in which will allow the leader to predict the artistic value of this creative competition and determine the type of competition-festival regarding the quality and professional level of requirements for participants and jury., material costs (commercial, private, public, mixed). From the standpoint of studying the trends of competition-festival online forms opens a new understanding of choral creativity in the Internet format, and the connection of concepts of modern choral creativity, competition-festival movement and Internet opportunities allows us to consider the concept of remote competition as a generalization though new, but the already extensive sphere of means of formation of artistic and musical performance text. The analysis of individual choral works presented in the work is based on chorological and general musicological approaches, and their choice is due to their own practical performance experience as aleader of the chamber choir "Ave musica" and leads to a professional understanding of the musical text, which includes a wide range of means of expressive choral sonority, high level of performance and explains the selection criteria for these works as mandatory. The presented materials and research results can provide a new field for reflection on the evolution of creative competitions, become a "starting point" for further development of the necessary scientific musicological and chorological tools. Thus, the dissertation investigates the systemic creative aspects and historical, socio-cultural, procedural factors of the existence of competition-festival movements in choral creativity in the context of current choral studies. Competitive-festival forms and the phenomenon of competitive-festival movement in modern choral creativity are offered to be considered as a perspective direction of modern choral studies and music managem | uk_UA |
