dc.description	The dissertation examines the process of creation, evolution and current state of the network of archives of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, documenting their activities. The specifics of fonding of archival documents of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the documentary content of fonds, methods of describing documents and the formation of archival directories have been studied. The content of the reference apparatus of archives of institutions and its role in fulfilling public needs in the search for information of archival documents are analyzed. The research was conducted for the purpose of systematic analysis of theoretical-methodological and practical issues of formation and functioning of archival fonds and obtaining relevant data on the current state and perspectives of formation of archival heritage of institutionalized science in the system of the NAS of Ukraine. Archival fonds of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine contain retrospective information about scientists, research teams, scientific institutions, rules, norms, rights, means and results of their activities. Information that turns into a system of knowledge about science as a social institution and the result of socio-cultural activities of Ukrainian society. This predetermines the existence of systemic connections between the information component of archival documents of scientific institutions, which act as a set of interconnected elements. These elements, with the application of scientific principles of origin and respect for the fond based on a systematic approach and appropriate scientific methods, are combined into a set of mutually conditioned and interdependent components – archives and individual archives’ fonds that make up the system of archives of the NAS of Ukraine. Archival fonds are formed by archives as information models of scientific institutions as close as possible to the original. Thus, the system of archival fonds of the institutions of the NAS of Ukraine can be considered as an informative archival model of institutionalized academic science in Ukraine. A peculiar visualization of such a model is the system of reference apparatus to the documents of the archival fonds of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine. In particular, archival directories perform vital functions in relation to archival fonds, as they provide primary accounting of documents and serve as a means of searching for them. Their conclusion is based on scientific principles and methods, first of all - on the method of analytical-synthetic processing of documentary information. Due to this, lower-level directories contain primary information in relation to higher-level directories. Accordingly, the guide «Archival funds of institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine» reveals the composition of the system of archival fonds of institutions of the NAS of Ukraine as a whole and, at the same time, gives a brief overview of the documents of each archive. However, the case description provides detailed information on the documentary composition of each case included in the archive’s fonds. In total, archival directories form a system of reference apparatus of archival subdivisions of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The study of the process of creation and evolution of archival subdivisions in the system of the NAS of Ukraine confirmed the expediency and efficiency of creating a centralized archival system as a means of forming and storing archival heritage of the NAS of Ukraine, while showing its incompleteness because of creation of the main archival subdivision without the appropriate archive repository, saving and simplifying access to documents. As a result of the research, a systematic analysis of the archival fonds of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was carried out for the first time, the theoretical basis of archival documents fonding and characteristic features of archival fonds were outlined. The complex picture of development of the network of scientific institutions’ archives of the NAS of Ukraine from formation to the present was reproduced, the legal status of archives in the NAS of Ukraine was analyzed. A comprehensive analysis of the reference system to the documents of the scientific institutions’ archives of the NAS of Ukraine was conducted. The results of the study can be used in the practice of the NAS of Ukraine and its institutions to create optimal conditions for the accumulation and storage of retrospective information about academic science and organization of access to documentary information and in the scientific work of the Institute of Archival Studies of V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine to optimize archival fonds and increasing the informativeness of the reference apparatus to archival documents.	uk_UA
dc.description.abstract	У дисертації досліджено історію формування та розвитку мережі архівів академічних наукових установ протягом 1968-2018 рр. Проаналізовано еволюцію правового статусу та ієрархічних зв’язків архівних підрозділів у НАН України. Досліджено методичні засади фондової організації архівних документів протягом радянського періоду і в роки незалежної України та окреслено загальні риси архівних фондів, що формувалися з документів наукових установ НАН України. Здійснено комплексний аналіз системи довідкового апарату до документів архівних фондів наукових установ НАН України. Проаналізовано й удосконалено історично сформовану методику описування архівних документів та складання архівних довідників на документи наукових установ НАН України. Результати дослідження мають практичне значення для організації робіт зі створення оптимальних умов для накопичення та пошуку ретроспективної інформації про науку в НАН України, організаціях, які перебувають в її віданні та тих, діяльність яких пов’язана зі створенням наукових знань. У науковій роботі Інституту архівознавства НБУВ - для оптимізації складу архівних фондів, удосконалення методів архівного описування та підвищення інформативності довідкового апарату до архівних документів.	uk_UA
