Abstract:

Дисертацію присвячено дослідженню жанру сольної кантати, заново "відкритому" ХХ століттям. У роботі осмилюються його самостійність й індивідуальність, притаманні жанровому інваріанту, простежуються історичні передумови формування цього жанру, висвітлюються особливості функціонування соціальної кантати в барокову добу та зміни жанрового інваріанту у процесі еволюції. З'ясовано, що жанр сольної кантати пройшов значну еволюцію: від твору мінливої структури, яка являється нестабильною і може співпадати із жанрами більш простої будови (наприклад, аріями) до більш широко трактованої циклічної композиції, у якій сольність виступає як організуючий принцип завдяки дотриманню "сольного принципу висловлювання". Зародження жанру відбулося в Італії за доби бароко, у цей час він пройшов найбільш активну фазу свого розвитку через етапи зародження, формування і стабілізації жанрового інваріанту. У подальшому, попри зміщення сольної кантати на периферію жанрового фонду, вона не втратила своєї значущості: її зразки наявні у творчості віденських класиків, твори саме цього жанру визначаються як обов"язкові на здобуття Римської премії за часів романтизму, наявні її численні зразки у ХХ ст., зокрема й у творчості українських композиторів останньої третини ХХ століття. Жанр сольної кантати не втратив актуальності, він активно функціонує у контексті сучасного музичного мистецтва завдяки стабільності його основних параметрів, у котрих якісно змінюється наповнення.

Description:

The thesis is dedicated to the research of the solo cantata genre. The research considers its independence and personality inherent in the genre invariant, traces the historical background of the genre’s formation, highlights the features of the solo cantata’s functioning in the Baroque era and genre invariant’s changes in the process of evolution. The thesis founds that the solo cantata genre has undergone a significant evolution: from a work of variable structure, which is unstable and may coincide with genres of simpler structure (such as arias) to a composition with more widely interpretation, in which the solitude acts as an organizing principle and it is a characteristic genre trait even with the participation of more soloists in virtue of «the solo expression principle» Solo cantata is a work not only for one soloist: its name reflects not only the performers’ compound, but the deep principle of soloisity that permeates the genre.The genre’s origin is represented in Italy in the Baroque era. The main feature of the solo cantata’s early stage is its structure and relatively small scale of works. At this time, it was formed the leading principle of the cycle’s organization as a multifaceted work based on the alternation of song-melody and recitation sections. The next stage of the genre’s life is the parts’ stabilization by their functionality, as well as the increase of the performers composition. The cycle’s organization is based on the regulated alternation of two basic elements - recitative and aria - to which can be added instrumental parts. The aria da capo form is actively used which embodies dif-ferent affections according to its variety (lamento, bravura, idyllic, pastoral, aria of anger, aria of revenge). In the mature Italian stage of the solo cantata’s evolution the number of cycle’s parts decreases and the aria is the obligatory finale of the work. From the last third of the 18th century the solo cantata shifts to the genre fund’s periphery. Despite of this its samples are available in the works of Viennese classics. In these works, the genre content is expanded (no binding to historical or mythological heroes), the composition is modified (the solo cantata can be represented both as a multi-part work and as a one-part work with internal division into sections) and the performers’ composition is enriched (use of the full the symphonic orchestra as well as the inclusion of the choir). In France solo cantata becomes a popular genre in the Paris Conservatory since because of this genre works are required to win the Roman Prize In the 20th century the solo cantata genre has not lost its appeal, moreover, in the Ukrainian composers’ creativity of the last third of the 20th century shows a kind of solo cantatas’ «explosion». The assertion about this genre’s new stage of evolution is based on the latest composition techniques’ attraction and the presence of a number of experiments: the intonation enrichment through the introduction of extra-musical elements, the use of power tools and various technical devices, a kind of emancipation of such parameters of material organization as timbre and texture, the interest in sound sonorous qualities, etc. The solo cantata genre has not lost its relevance and it is actively functioning in the context of contemporary music art due to the stability of its basic parameters in which changes the filling’s quality.
