Короткий опис(реферат):
Розроблено власну концепцію застосування бенчмаркінгу у бібліотекознавстві. Наведено набір методів, що складають дану методологію. Методологію бенчмаркінгу використано для виявлення, аналізу та порівняння дистанційних інформаційних послуг, що надаються бібліотеками вищих навчальних закладів України та закордону: США, Канади, Австралії. Встановлено бібліотеки-еталони для запозичення кращого досвіду обслуговування користувачів. Побудовано комплексну вербальну модель соціальних комунікацій в бібліотеці.
Декомпозицію даної моделі становить удосконалений алгоритм здійснення вибіркового розповсюдження інформації; вербальна модель інформаційного обслуговування користувачів засобами веб-технологій, зокрема «хмарними» сервісами. Шляхом порівняльного аналізу було досліджено та визначено «хмарні» сховища, які можуть бути впроваджені у практику роботи бібліотек на
безоплатній основі. Запропоновано інноваційний підхід для управління низкою «хмарних» сховищ із використанням «хмарних» менеджерів. Розглянуто ряд технічних можливостей безкоштовних «хмарних менеджерів». Визначено найбільш оптимальний «хмарний» менеджер для використання у бібліотечно-
інформаційному обслуговуванні. Проведено соціологічне дослідження серед студентів Національного університету «Львівська політехніка» методом електронного анкетування задля визначення низки веб-сервісів та ресурсів, які користувачі хотіли б отримувати в якості послуг з веб-сайту бібліотеки вищого
навчального закладу.
Суть розробки, основні результати:
The own methodology of benchmarking in the library science is developed, which includes the following set of methods: competitive service, comparative analysis, and sociological research methods. The analysis of remote library services of the largest universities of English speaking countries such as USA, Canada, Australia is made. It is found that libraries of universities of USA, Canada, Australia offer their users a wide range of remote information services through the electronic catalogs; repositories, which contain thesis, full-text articles of the university employees and a wide range of subscribed and free databases. It is determined that a personal approach to information service of users by attaching alibrarian to a researcher - curators of the definite area of knowledge, which are oriented in the proper range of information resources is applied in the foreign library practice. The solid information basis on the remote library service is obtained. The experience of leading libraries for the purpose of borrowing advanced trends by national academic libraries is analyzed.
The results of research by methodology of benchmarking allow to form a complex verbal model of social communication in the modern libraries using remote information services.The developed models of information processes and social communications give an opportunity to generate new social relationships and agents for information exchanging in the library information environment, and build a model of effective
information support of library users in the remote mode. The modernization trends of service complex to library information users are investigated the reorganization of the system of selective dissemination of information (SDI); providing of remote library information references by means of information technologies and a wide range of information sources; the full-text documents delivering to users SDI model is presented as one of the nodes of complex verbal communication model in the library and the algorithms of its implementation are suggested. The algorithm for improving the system of selective dissemination of information is developed, based on the integrated use of modern information technologies and advanced range of sources that are involved in the process of informing. It is determined that a staff of professionals has to fulfill the technological process specialized in a specific subject area and has skills to work with information resources, databases and bibliographic sources.
The questionnaire among the library users is carried out for identifying information needs and arrange of remote information services which are convenient for them. Respondents of the sociological research were students of 1-5 years of technical specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University. The studies have shown that users select an equal base electronic, multimedia and printing document. It is investigated the most visited social platforms by student audience (social networking and videohosting) as an effective channel for distributing library news and promotional materials. It will ensure rationaly to use functionality of such social platforms. The results of the study showed the need for improving technology of providing the remote information services in the library at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
It is observed a wide range of free web-services, including their functionality to create, process, edit, save, play and give an access to documents. The services that can be used for providing remote information services in the libraries are selected. The free cloud storages are distinguished and using the comparative analysis there are selected such storages that can be implemented in practice of library work. The way of providing the remote access to the library documents via cloud services for a certain period of time as an electronic subscription is defined. It is investigated that cloud technology is used in libraries abroad for storage of information resources and considered to be perspective towards building a service oriented library systems.
The verbal model of information services involving innovative information technologies - cloud computing is build.
The model is designed and the technology of emplementation of cloud computing in the libraries for storing full-text documents and multimedia resources is proposed.
The requirements for cloud storage are formulated that can be used in the library work.
The cloud platforms are the most optimal, satisfying the following conditions: the ability to obtain free services; the sufficiency of size of cloud storage for multimedia storage resources, as these types of files take up essential amount of memory; the ability to download and store multimedia files; to browse mediafiles in cloud environment without downloading them to a computer; open cloud storage (user access in the "view" mode to the whole range of documents stored in the "cloud") is defined. Cloud storage has been considered as the concept of digital libraries. The innovative approach for the management of a wide range of cloud storages using cloud managers is described. The number of technical possibilities of free cloud managers which potentially can be applied in the libraries is analyzed. Using the comparative analysis it is determined the most optimal cloud manager capable to integrate multiple cloud storage space.
