Abstract:

АНОТАЦІЯ Венгренюк Д. В. Психоакустичний вплив звукорежисерських підходів на глядацький досвід «живих» музичних онлайн виступів. Кваліфікаційна робота освітнього рівня – магістр, на правах рукопису. Спеціальність – 025 «Музичне мистецтво» (звукорежисура). – Національна академія керівних кадрів культури і мистецтв, Київ, 2025. Кваліфікаційна робота присвячена комплексному міждисциплінарному дослідженню психоакустичного впливу звукорежисерських підходів на формування глядацького досвіду при перегляді онлайн лайв-виступів. Актуальність теми зумовлена фундаментальною трансформацією музичної індустрії, де домінуючим форматом якісного онлайн-контенту став так званий "гібридний лайв" . Цей формат, що передбачає живий виступ, багатоканальний запис та ретельний студійний постпродакшн, кардинально змінив парадигму сприйняття. Досвід змістився з колективного публічного простору (концертного залу) на індивідуальний, інтимний, що найчастіше відбувається у навушниках. У цьому новому контексті саме аудіо стає ключовим інструментом занурення (імерсивності). Це висуває нові вимоги до звукорежисерів, які з технічних фахівців перетворюються на «архітекторів досвіду», що свідомо моделюють емоційну реакцію глядача, спираючись на наукові принципи психоакустики. Метою роботи є аналіз механізмів психоакустичного впливу аудіо в «гібридних лайвах» та дослідження того, як конкретні звукорежисерські технології та творчі рішення (від вибору мікрофонів до фінального мастерингу) формують, посилюють та свідомо скеровують емоційне сприйняття аудиторії на платформах на кшталт YouTube. Об’єктом дослідження є процес створення та студійного постпродакшну аудіо для записаних «живих «онлайн лайв-виступів. Предмет дослідження — психоакустичний вплив звукорежисерських підходів на глядацький досвід та роль звукорежисера як медіатора емоційного зв'язку в цифровому середовищі. У першому розділі роботи закладено теоретичний фундамент. Проведено глибокий аналіз ключових концепцій психоакустики, від історичних праць Гельмгольца до сучасних когнітивних досліджень. Детально розглянуто такі феномени, як криві рівної гучності, механізми спектрального та часового маскування, принципи бінаурального сприйняття (ITD, ILD) та ефект упередження (ефект Гааса), та визначено їхнє критичне значення для сучасної звукорежисури. Також проведено історичний огляд еволюції запису живих виступів, що демонструє логічний перехід від радіотрансляцій до технологічно складного "гібридного" формату. У другому розділі здійснено детальний аналіз сучасного технологічного стеку та методології виробництва "гібридних лайвів" . Цей розділ систематизує весь процес: від технік багатоканального запису у складних акустичних умовах до етапів постпродакшну. Особливу увагу приділено ролі DAW як творчої лабораторії, методам інтелектуальної аудіо-реставрації (ШІ-чистка), принципам зведення (створення балансу, глибини) та психоакустичного мастерингу, орієнтованого на стандарти онлайн-платформ (зокрема, нормалізацію за гучністю LUFS). Досліджено, як конкретні техніки (робота з динамікою, спектром, простором) безпосередньо впливають на емоційне сприйняття, створюючи психоакустичні ефекти інтимності, теплоти, присутності та так званої "естетики автентичності" (свідоме збереження недоліків). Третій розділ є практичною частиною дослідження. Він містить поглиблений «case study" двох авторських звукорежисерських робіт («Vivienne Mort – Любов» та «Димна Суміш – Між пеклом і раєм»). На цих прикладах детально продемонстровано, як психоакустичні принципи застосовуються для вирішення конкретних художніх завдань — від створення камерної інтимності та синестезії (зв'язок звуку та візуального образу диму) до передачі ностальгічного контексту, сирої рок-енергії (включаючи роботу з естетикою недосконалості) та створення аудіовізуальної драматургії (ефект «під мостом»). У цьому ж розділі проведено порівняльний аналіз провідних світових (NPR Tiny Desk, A COLORS SHOW, La Blogothèque) та українських (ШООМ) форматів, виявляючи їхні унікальні психоакустичні моделі впливу на глядача (інтимність, гіпер-реальність, автентичність, естетизм). Наукова новизна полягає у одній з перших в українському науковому дискурсі спроб системного аналізу феномену "гібридного лайву" на перетині аудіоінженерії, психоакустики та медіа-досліджень. Практичне значення роботи полягає в систематизації та описі конкретних звукорежисерських підходів, які можуть бути використані фахівцями для створення більш конкурентоздатного, імерсивного та емоційно впливового аудіовізуального контенту для цифрових платформ. SUMMARY Venhreniuk, D. V . Psychoacoustic Impact of Sound Engineering Approaches on the Viewer Experience of "Live" Online Music Performances. This qualification thesis provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary study of the psychoacoustic impact of sound engineering approaches on the formation of the viewer's experience when watching online live performances. The relevance of the topic stems from the fundamental transformation of the music industry, where the so-called "hybrid live" format has become the dominant form of high-quality online content. This format, which involves a live performance, multichannel recording, and meticulous studio post-production, has radically shifted the paradigm of perception. The experience has moved from a collective, public space (a concert hall) to an individual, intimate one, most often consumed through headphones. In this new context, audio becomes the key tool for immersion, and the sound engineer acts as an "architect of experience, " consciously shaping the viewer's emotional response based on the scientific principles of psychoacoustics. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the mechanisms of psychoacoustic impact in "hybrid live" performances and to investigate how specific sound engineering technologies and creative decisions (from microphone selection to final mastering) shape, enhance, and consciously direct the audience's emotional perception on platforms like YouTube. The object of the study is the process of audio creation and studio post-production for recorded online live performances. The subject of the study is the psychoacoustic impact of sound engineering approaches on the viewer's experience and the role of the sound engineer as a mediator of emotional connection in the digital environment. The first chapter of the thesis establishes the theoretical foundation. It provides a deep analysis of key psychoacoustic concepts, from the historical works of Helmholtz to modern cognitive research. Phenomena such as equal-loudness contours, mechanisms of spectral and temporal masking, principles of binaural hearing (ITD, ILD), and the precedence effect (Haas effect) are examined in detail, establishing their critical importance for modern sound engineering. A historical overview of the evolution of live performance recording is also provided, demonstrating the logical progression from radio broadcasts to the technologically complex "hybrid" format. The second chapter presents a detailed analysis of the modern technological stack and production methodology for "hybrid live" performances. This section systematizes the entire process: from multichannel recording techniques in challenging acoustic environments to the stages of post-production. Special attention is given to the role of the DAW as a creative laboratory, methods of intelligent audio restoration (AI cleaning), mixing principles (creating balance, depth), and psychoacoustic mastering oriented towards online platform standards (specifically, LUFS loudness normalization). It explores how specific techniques (working with dynamics, spectrum, space) directly influence emotional perception, creating psychoacoustic effects of "intimacy, " "warmth, " "presence, " and the so-called "aesthetics of authenticity" (the deliberate preservation of "flaws"). The third chapter is the practical part of the study. It contains an in-depth case study of two of the author's own sound engineering works ("Vivienne Mort – Lyubov" and "Dymna Sumish – Mizh peklom i rayem"). These examples demonstrate in detail how psychoacoustic principles are applied to solve specific artistic challenges—from creating chamber intimacy and synesthesia (the link between sound and the visual image of smoke) to conveying nostalgic context, raw energy (including working with the "aesthetics of authenticity"), and creating audiovisual dramaturgy (the "under the bridge" effect). This chapter also includes a comparative analysis of leading global (NPR Tiny Desk, A COLORS SHOW, La Blogothèque) and Ukrainian (SROOM) formats, identifying their unique psychoacoustic models of viewer engagement (intimacy, hyper-reality, authenticity, aestheticism). The scientific novelty lies in this being one of the first attempts in Ukrainian scientific discourse to systematically analyze the "hybrid live" phenomenon at the intersection of audio engineering, psychoacoustics, and media studies. The practical significance of the work lies in the systematization and description of specific sound engineering approaches that can be used by professionals to create more competitive, immersive, and emotionally impactful audiovisual content for digital platforms.
